Two months had passed since the charity gala at Shuchiin Academy. The campus had settled back into its routine, with students deeply immersed in their studies and activities. Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya had continued with their separate responsibilities, yet both found their days occasionally punctuated by thoughts of the past.

Kaguya had been busy with her family’s business and her charitable initiatives. Her calendar was filled with meetings and events, and she worked diligently to uphold her family’s reputation. Even as she attended to her responsibilities, she found herself occasionally daydreaming about Miyuki and the times they shared. Whenever she encountered a challenge, she sometimes thought, “How would Miyuki handle ?”

Miyuki, meanwhile, had thrown himself into his academic and leadership pursuits. His schedule was packed with classes, projects, and student council meetings. While he focused on his ambitions, there were moments when he couldn’t help but reminisce about his interactions with Kaguya. He’d catch himself smiling at a memory and think, “We made a great team.”

One day, Kaguya received an invitation to a charity event hosted by a prominent business leader. The event was set to take place at the same venue where the gala had been held. Curious and somewhat nostalgic, she decided to attend.

At the event, Kaguya arrived early and started mingling with other guests. As she was engaged in conversation, she noticed Miyuki across the room. He was there representing the student council. Their eyes met, and there was a brief moment of hesitation before Miyuki approached her.

“Hi, Kaguya,” he said, his tone friendly yet slightly guarded.

Kaguya looked up, her expression a mix of surprise and warmth.Miyuki. It’s good to see you.”

They exchanged polite pleasantries, discussing their current activities and the event itself. As they talked, they both noticed how easily their old dynamic seemed to resurface. They fell into familiar patterns of conversation, sharing anecdotes and laughter.

During a break in the event, they found themselves standing together, looking out over the balcony. The cherry blossoms were in bloom, their soft pink petals drifting in the breeze.

Miyuki glanced at Kaguya and said, “You know, place brings back memories. Remember when we spent hours planning the gala?”

Kaguya smiled, her gaze fixed on the blossoms. “Yes, I do. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. We made a great team.”

There was a comfortable silence between them, filled with unspoken understanding. They talked about their recent experiences and aspirations, sharing small details about their lives. Every now and then, their eyes would meet, and there was a flicker of something deeper—an unspoken acknowledgment of their past connection.

As the evening progressed, Miyuki and Kaguya found themselves gravitating toward each other during the event’s various activities. They naturally fell into the rhythm of working together to handle last-minute details, their teamwork seamless and effective. It was as though the time apart had done little to diminish their ability to coordinate and support one another.

At the end of the event, as they stood near the cherry blossoms again, Miyuki and Kaguya exchanged a quiet, meaningful look. The conversation had turned to their plans for the future and how they were managing their busy lives. They spoke with a certain wistfulness, reflecting on how things had changed.

“Tonight was nice,” Miyuki said, his voice gentle. “It felt good to work together again.”

Kaguya nodded, her expression thoughtful. “It was. I’ve missed . It’s strange how some things stay the same, even when everything else changes.”

There was a lingering pause as they looked out at the blossoms, both lost in their own thoughts. They didn’t need to say much more; their actions and the unspoken emotions between them spoke volumes.

When it was time to part ways, Miyuki and Kaguya shared a final, warm handshake. Their fingers lingered for a moment longer than necessary, and their eyes met with a mixture of fondness and resignation.

“Goodbye, Kaguya,” Miyuki said softly.

“Goodbye, Miyuki,” Kaguya replied, her voice equally soft.

As they walked away in opposite directions, each carried a sense of bittersweet nostalgia. The cherry blossoms, gently falling around them, seemed to mirror their unspoken feelings—a reminder of a connection that remained, even if it had evolved into something different.
